Digitise your old negatives

Regular readers of the Deviltronics website will know that we love digital cameras and digital frames, as they’ve just made life so much easier. No longer do we have to take the film to a shop, pay a small fortune to get it developed, find the time to pick it up and then suffer the disappointment of realising that half the photos taken are rubbish!

Digital cameras have turned us all into budding David Baileys, as we take hundreds of photos in a single day, and then edit, upload or email them for everyone’s amusement (or embarrassment).

But what about those old films, slides or negatives that we all have lying around in a drawer somewhere? You know, the ones that are likely to contain a photo of your brother or sister in the bath at the age of 2, or of your Dad at a time of his life when he was experimenting with facial hair and sporting a mullet haircut.

Fortunately for you, although maybe not so fortunate for your relatives, the Digital Film Scanner can bring these old prints into the 21st century. Simply secure the negatives or slides into the Digital Film Scanners holder, press the ‘Copy’ button and this James Bond-style gadget will scan the images using its high resolution, 5 megapixel sensor.

The pictures will then be saved as either a JPEG or other common digital format, and once uploaded to your PC - using the supplied USB cable - can be edited with the accompanying software. All that remains to be done is choosing the best way to humiliate whoever’s on the film…..the endless joys of technology!
