USB Panic Button
This
internet stuff is genius, you can find mates on facebook, bid away on
ebay, in fact you can just about do anything with a computer and a
broadband connection (or land line for those of you who still live in
the dark ages). Problem is it’s quite addictive especially when it’s
right there on the very machine you’re supposed to be using for work.
So instead of creating graphs, data sheets or annual reports you find
yourself surfing the net looking for bargain holidays, useless gadgets,
the latest sports scores and even naughty pictures! Which of course is
not a bad thing to make the day go quicker, we all do it, just as long
as we don’t get caught by the prying boss. Most will look over their
shoulder to stay safe, but not us, we just simply hit the USB Panic
Button if the boss is lurking close by. Why? Because it will open up a
technical looking document, making us appear like hard-working
employees. Brilliant!
The USB Panic Button, with a perspex cover and black and
yellow warning stripes, may look like something you’d find in a fighter
jet, ready to eject you out in the worst scenario, fortunately it won’t
have the same effect while you sit in your swivel desk chair. What it
will do is cover up anything dodgy on your monitor that you don’t want
anyone else to see, quickly at the hit of the big red button.
As well as the default boring documents you can also change whatever
pops onto the screen, be it your company logo, a photo of your mum or
something that relates to your work. The possibilities are endless!
