Rat-a-tat-tat! We’ve all wanted to own a drum kit at one stage in our lives, although due to parents or the possibility of a war with our neighbours, most of us have never actually achieved our dream (yahboo to those of you who have!). So we make do with tapping our desks, tapping the floor, tapping the steering wheel….you get the picture.

Well, the good news is that someone has tapped into our inner frustrations and brought out a drum kit that can be played with your fingers! A similar size to a mouse mat, the Finger Drum Kit provides everything us amateur drummers could want – cymbals, snares, tom toms, a high hat and a bass drum – which you can lay into with your fingers from the comfort of your own chair.

Your melodic beats are blasted out from the kit’s internal speaker, and if they’re sufficiently good, they can even be recorded and replayed. If you’re in need of a little inspiration, you can also tap along to six pre-programmed demos – almost as though you have your own band made up of invisible mates.

Fortunately, there is a volume control, although we can’t guarantee you won’t annoy whoever happens to live with you!
