Radio Controlled Helicopter Flying For Beginners
April 12, 2011 Helpful Tips, Remote Controlled ToysThe world of Radio Controlled Helicopters has taken off considerably in recent years as fun loving gadget enthusiasts demand even more excitement. From an outdoor RC helicopter to a micro indoor helicopter there is a lot to choose from when getting involved with this addictive fun flying frenzy. So as a beginner pilot let us help you out a bit on buying your very first radio controlled helicopter.
Let us get one thing straight, when flying a radio controlled helicopter you should expect to crash! With this in mind, it’s just as well that the materials used in the decent bunch of remote control helicopters are made to withstand a few hard knocks so it’s not game over as soon as you fly hard straight into a wall in your early flight training days. You also get some spares in some packages. Crashing is not a bad thing, just part of the learning curve as you build up your skills and experience as a beginner helicopter pilot (and soon to be a pro!).
With that out the way lets move on to the range of beginner RC helicopters out there, as already stated there is a lot to choose from, whether you intend to spend £20.00 or £100.00. Firstly it’s best to go for a radio controlled helicopter that is from a reputable manufacturer and not one of those cheaper ones that will fall flat out of the sky on its first flight. Secondly as a beginner pilot you’re much better to go for a helicopter that is ready to fly straight out the box instead of spending hours building a kit, even if they are that much nicer they are more expensive.
Here at Deviltronics we offer three channel and four channel helicopters, both of which are suitable for the beginner, be it for children or adults. The latest technology to arrive is the Gyro radio conrolled helicopter system which provides the ultimate control and stability, very helpful for the novice. With a three channel system you can fly a radio controlled helicopter up, down, forwards, backwards, left and right as well as hover in a single spot. A four channel system adds side-ways movement.
All the helicopters at the Deviltronics Gadget Shop are easy to fly and suitable for beginners however we do recommend that children are supervised by adults for the best experience, it gives mums and dads to join in with the fun too!
